Margaret has been trying to teach me how to cook. Last night we made shrimp scampi. It came out quite well; she seemed to think there was a bit too much lemon, but I think you can never have too much lemon. More excitingly for me, I realized that I actually could make that on my own. I'm finally understanding how to deal with hot things in the oven. It's hard because I use my hands for everything and that doesn't work as well for cooking. This makes me happy.

you might look into those silicone oven mitts. they seem like they would be more tactile than the typical oven mitts and easier to clean up if you use them to push around the food
