Go IBM Go

I got mail from IBM; I worked for them in the early 1990's. They were writing to me to tell me that they had sent my identity theft protection information to the wrong address. Wait. Why are they sending me identity theft protection information? Puzzled I looked into the situation more. Apparently they misplaced a tape with archival employment information. They're quite sure it has not fallen into malicious hands. After all, it's not the kind of tape that can be read on a personal computer. So, they signed me up for an identity protection service at their expense. Of course, they then failed to actually send that to me but instead sent it somewhere else. Now they are realizing the second mistake and letting me know that they have misplaced my information and misdirected their notice about that fact. This would be even funnier if it was UPS.
